Now, we wait until it is dry to see the results

Soy Wax Batik.......Part 2

I painted over the fabrics that I

stamped with hot soy wax last week...

I am using Textile Paints...

Let's see where the day takes us...

This is what I have in the paint cupboard today...

Jacquard, Pebeo Setacolor, Dye-Na-Flow

I chose a dark grape purple to cover this pink fabric...

You can see the wax hand shapes

are resisting the paint

I chose a dark chocolate brown paint

over this yellow fabric

The brown paint will be a good contrast

against the yellow fabric.

Brilliant Blue paint over the pale blue fabric...

Another good contrast of colors.

I mixed blue and purple paints for this one...

I applied 3 different colors of paint...

Then tipped the board on the side  to help

the paint run down into the yellow color...

This is the piece after all of the blending...

Again, 3 colors of paint...

Tipped the board on the side to blend the colors...

The black paint was the best contrast

on this white fabric

with writing in hot soy wax...

24 Fat Quarters painted today...

Time to call it a day.....and clean up

This is the view as I walked out the door of the

Thread Shed....

They will dry tonight.

Tomorrow I will heat set the paint...
